SPRING WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR UPDATE
We have a little change to share for our upcoming Spring Workshop in April. Due to a conflict with scheduling, our wonderful instructor Susan will not be able to join us this time around. While we’re not sure yet what the future holds, we’re holding space for her and sending lots of love her way.
When it came time to find someone to step in, it was one of the easiest decisions we’ve ever made. Tishy, Susan, and I all said it in unison: “Katie.” As an alumni of our past workshops and someone widely recognized for her stunning work with flash, Katie was the obvious choice. From athletes in the gym to breathtaking water shots at sunset, her flash work is next-level.
On top of her talent, Katie brings the kind of energy that lights up a room. She’s hilarious, incredibly down-to-earth, and a natural teacher through and through.
Bringing her into the spring lineup was a total no-brainer, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

Aubry Ramsey
Aubry Ramsey Photography: As one of the industry’s leaders, Aubry is an experienced and sought-after senior photographer based in Texas. Her signature style has earned her numerous awards and accolades, but her personality and charm keep her clients returning. She is a natural light photographer who is a little obsessed with chasing the sun. In her workshops, you’ll learn how she’s mastered reflector light to lend her images dramatic and dreamy feels. She will also show you how to edit images to give them more depth masterfully. Some of her most sought-after areas of expertise include posing, how to build luxury pricing, and how she manages her workflow, so she will be touching on all of those topics so you leave feeling empowered.
Aubry has been honored to receive numerous awards for her Senior photography. The greatest of these accolades is the prestigious Senior Photographer Hot 100 award, which she has proudly earned every year since 2017, with several of those being icon status. And in 2023, she was honored to receive the legend status for the Hot 100.
Tishy Bryant
Tishy Photography: Passionate about educating other artists, Tishy is an accomplished and seasoned expert in Austin and the Beaumont area. She specializes in seniors, children/families, and sports photography, and believes that shared knowledge is the best kind! Tishy is a well-known educator in the senior photography realm. She brings an energetic approach to topics like natural light photography, and she will share her inspirational approach with model teams. Her workshops will leave you feeling ready to find that perfect light, no matter where you go!
Tishy feels privileged to have been invited as a keynote speaker at the SYNC conference, showcased in various publications, and recognized with numerous awards for her contributions. Notable among these accolades are the Senior Photographer Hot 100 award '23 and '24, SeniorInspire's 50 to follow for '23 and '24, and the SeniorMuse Rockstar titles for '22, '23, and '24.
Katie Swatek
Katie Swatek Photography: Known for her bold lighting and high-impact athletic portraits, Katie is an experienced South Dakota senior photographer with a flair for creating dynamic, magazine-worthy images. Whether she’s lighting up a gym, a field, or a river sunset, Katie combines technical precision with a passion for breaking the rules. She believes that connection is just as powerful as lighting, and both are the foundation of an unforgettable client experience and a thriving business.
A proud alumnus of Rise Up, Katie is honored to return as a mentor to help others rise too.She’s passionate about teaching photographers how to embrace light and shadow to create standout work. In her instruction, she breaks down how to confidently use off-camera flash in any setting (without fear), how to elevate your senior experience with intentional posing and lighting, and how clear communication can turn clients into superfans. Her approach is equal parts education and bold creativity.Katie was named the 2025 SYNC Photographer of the Year, is a three-time SeniorInspire Photographer to Follow (2022, 2023, 2024), and has earned SeniorMuse Rockstar and Top50 to Follow honors in both 2023 and 2024.
